With M-Kha handling all instrumentation and scream vocals, “Khamsin” expands on the black metal approach AODON have developed over the years. The band brings together intense and melodic sections with atmospheric and melancholic passages, while structuring the songs around varying degrees of transformation rather than having them follow a single trajectory.

This approach also defines the album’s emotional axis. Alongside turmoil and anguish, “Khamsin” makes room for flashes of triumph, with the band exploring these contrasts through restrained, layered arrangements rather than overtly dramatic expression.

AODON’s new release comprises eight tracks. The lyrics were written by Alix.R, while the artwork and visual design were created by Alex Eckman-Lawn, also known for his work with REPlicant.

The tracklist for “Khamsin” is as follows:

  1. ‘Les torrents’

  2. ‘Hurle’

  3. ‘À ton ombre’

  4. ‘Sous les sangles’

  5. ‘Khamsin’

  6. ‘Ruines sans âge’

  7. ‘Anthracite’

  8. ‘Dans l’oubli’

While M-Kha is at the center of the album’s studio work, AODON’s live lineup features M-Kha (lead guitar, screams), Alix.R (bass), Laurent.C (rhythm guitar), Martin.Dst (lead guitar), and François.B (drums).

“Khamsin” will be released via Transcending Obscurity Records on November 27, 2026.
