ARMSTRONG METALFEST, held in Armstrong, British Columbia, Canada, is closing applications today, October 15, for bands hoping to join the lineup for its 2027 edition. The festival will take place at Hassen Arena on July 16–17, 2027.

Founded in 2009, the event has brought local bands together with acts from the international extreme metal scene each year, following a hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2026 edition featured RIVERS OF NIHIL and DYING FETUS as co-headliners, alongside CYBORG OCTOPUS, INTO ETERNITY, FERVENCE, VINTERSEA, LYCANTHRO, IRON KINGDOM, ODINFIST, ART OF ATTRITION, and others.

Bands interested in joining the 2027 lineup can submit their applications through the official ARMSTRONG METALFEST application page. The deadline is October 15, 2026.

Past festival lineups have also featured bands such as KATAKLYSM, CATTLE DECAPITATION, ARCHSPIRE, ORIGIN, WARBRINGER, FALLUJAH, and BEYOND CREATION. In addition to organizing the festival, the nonprofit West Metal Entertainment supports the regional music scene by putting on shows at various venues, including all-ages concerts.

Ticket sale dates for ARMSTRONG METALFEST 2027 have yet to be announced. According to the organizers, a general admission ticket will include access to the festival grounds and camping area, with free camping provided. Those wishing to park vehicles or RVs in designated areas must purchase a separate vehicle pass.
