German dark rock / metal outfit AUTUMNBLAZE have begun the countdown toward their new album “Glut.” Alongside the release of the record’s second single, “Licht Aus,” the band have also unveiled an accompanying new video clip. The album is set for release on June 26 via Argonauta Records.

Marking the band’s ninth full-length studio effort, “Glut” pushes even further into the German-language approach AUTUMNBLAZE have embraced in recent years. This time around, the band appear to favor direct emotional impact over technical complexity. Shaped through stripped-back yet deeply immersive atmospheres, the album revolves around themes of fragility, inner confrontation, emotional burden, and resilience.

The album’s first edition is being prepared in a special format aimed squarely at collectors. Limited to just 500 copies worldwide, the double-CD version will feature two distinct incarnations of the album. The first disc contains the main version, produced and mastered by Markus Stock. The second disc, meanwhile, offers an alternative mix/master version bearing the signature of Charles Greywolf.

This alternative edition is far more than a simple collection of bonus material; it reflects the songs in a rawer, more instinctive form, closer to their initial moments of creation. Noticeable differences in arrangements, vocal delivery, and overall atmosphere are said to define these versions. In doing so, the band aim to present two separate emotional dimensions of the very same songs.

The album artwork was created by artist Friederieke Myschik using oil painting techniques. Based on an old photograph, the piece emphasizes a more human and handcrafted aesthetic in opposition to today’s AI-driven digital visual culture.

The tracklist for “Glut” includes songs such as “Licht Aus,” “Kerkersonne,” “Polarlichter,” “Schwarzes Gold,” and “Albtraum.” The newly released video clip once again highlights the band’s dark and melancholic atmosphere with striking intensity.
