The tour comes as BLOOD AND SUN prepare to bring their upcoming album “Aion’s Light” to the stage. Due for release on October 16 via NORDVIS, the third full-length was recorded entirely by Luke Tromiczak using the Tascam 414 four-track cassette Portastudio that was also used during the project’s earliest days. The songs were written and recorded in the order in which they appear on the album, with effects committed directly to tape and each instrumental bounce narrowing the options for what could follow.

“Aion’s Light” brings together ’70s folk songwriting, the spirit of underground black metal and the eerie atmospheres of B-movie horror soundtracks. Its musical reference points include Scott Walker, OF THE WAND AND THE MOON, WOVEN HAND, SWANS, Dave Bixby, Exuma, Leonard Cohen and Norway’s STORM.

Tromiczak describes the album as a return to the roots of BLOOD AND SUN while also testing its limits, noting that “Aion’s Light” follows a narrative journey from the darkness of winter to the first flowers of spring, connected to the pagan currents that continue to run through his life. He also highlighted the project’s renewed collaboration with NORDVIS and thanked everyone who contributed to bringing the album into existence.

The album’s title track, ‘Aion’s Light’, along with ‘Life Lessons’ and ‘Gifts of Oneiroi’, are already available to hear via NORDVIS’ official YouTube channel. The individual tracks can be accessed below:
