One of the standout tracks from CALUS’ return after such a long hiatus is ‘Under the Banner (of Attrition)’. Alongside the EP’s release, the official music video for the song has also been made available.

"The Evolution of Social Exclusion" is particularly notable as the band’s first new recording since "Spiritual Warfare" in 2006. Across its six tracks, the release maintains a sludge and stoner metal foundation, while heavy riffs and low-tuned grooves play a defining role in CALUS’ sound. The band’s reference points include BLACK SABBATH, DOWN, CROWBAR, ENTOMBED, CLUTCH, ALICE IN CHAINS, EYEHATEGOD, LYNYRD SKYNYRD and ACID BATH.

The EP features six tracks: ‘No Curses’, ‘Perdition Anthem’, ‘Stone Snake’, ‘Strange Gods’, ‘New World Opus’ and ‘Under the Banner (of Attrition)’.

CALUS have also opened another collection of previously unreleased recordings from their vault for streaming. The source text refers to this release as "Australis Sacro Modus", and it can be streamed here.

"The Evolution of Social Exclusion" is also available on Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music.
