Mexican/French death metal band CHAOS MOTION will end their seven-year hiatus with their second album, due out on January 29, 2027. The self-titled release continues the band's experimental death metal approach, combining technical complexity with dissonant riff structures.

After the long gap following their debut, CHAOS MOTION have focused on further developing their musical approach. Running just over half an hour, the album is shaped by abrupt transitions, unpredictable compositions, and dense technical passages. The tracks are driven by an aggressive, disciplined performance style, but occasionally break away from this restless framework to explore more hypnotic and atmospheric passages.

The album's opening track is available to listen to here.

Among the nine tracks on CHAOS MOTION's new album, 'Fragmental Chaotic System' is divided into three separate parts. This structure is one of the album's defining details, reflecting the band's approach to developing compositions through interconnected sections rather than presenting them as single, uninterrupted pieces. Other track titles include 'Neurotic Contortion Abuse', 'Paroxysmal Entity', and 'Hypnotic Disorder Apotheosis'.

The album's musical direction falls within the realms of experimental technical death metal and dissonant death metal. While CHAOS MOTION keep technical intensity at the forefront throughout the record, they don't build their dynamics around speed and complexity alone. Broader passages that evoke a sense of suspension provide a counterbalance to that intensity.

The lineup features Juan Pablo Muñoz, who handles all instruments, and Erik Nuñez, who provides all vocals. The album artwork was created by Midge “Mantissa” Sinnaeve, also associated with ENDSPACE.

CHAOS MOTION's self-titled second album is due out on January 29, 2027.
