Emerging from the Los Angeles hardcore scene, CUTTHROAT have released their new EP "The Purge" following their European tour. The band also unveiled a new music video for 'Hard Times', the EP's opening track, on the same day.

Vocalist Neil Roemer said that the European tour with VIO-LENCE gave the band the opportunity to connect with different metal audiences, winning them over night after night. According to Roemer, CUTTHROAT have reached a new point in their career following the tour, with a heavier sound taking shape on the new release.

'Hard Times' opens "The Purge" as one of the clearest examples of this new direction. The song's lyrics revolve around the idea that difficult times do not define a person, but instead reveal what they are capable of.

The new EP continues CUTTHROAT's crossover approach, combining their hardcore roots with influences from thrash metal and hip-hop. Across its five tracks, "The Purge" pushes the band's fast and hard-hitting sound, which speaks equally to punk and metal audiences, toward a heavier direction.

The 'Hard Times' video is the band's second visual offering from the new EP era, following the previously released video for 'Purge'.

"The Purge" is available across digital platforms, as well as on CD and a limited-edition "Purge the System" colored vinyl pressing limited to 300 copies. Due to production delays affecting the vinyl edition, physical distribution is expected to roll out gradually over the next few weeks, while CD and vinyl copies are already available directly through the band's sales channels.

The EP's cover artwork was created by Mick Lambrou, who is also known for his work with hardcore bands including AGNOSTIC FRONT, SLAPSHOT, and SICK OF IT ALL.

With "The Purge", CUTTHROAT have returned from their European tour with a heavier, more crossover-focused side of their new era firmly on display.https://www.facebook.com/Losangelescutthroat
