Colorado-based stoner rock band DOCTOR NEZ have unveiled 'Find Familiar', the second song from their upcoming EP "Nothing Short Of Silver", due out October 1.

Created by DOCTOR NEZ's multi-instrumentalist mastermind, the six-track EP combines heavy rock rooted in stoner doom with psychedelic touches, while its latest release focuses on a dark fantasy narrative.

"Nothing Short Of Silver" centers on a character whose soul is transformed under the influence of a curse. Throughout the EP, themes of fear of change, guilt over bloodshed, unrequited love, the desire for power, and the urge to spread misery across the world come to the fore.

Alongside the newly released 'Find Familiar', the band have also released a video for the EP's first single, 'Pale Full Moon'. 'Find Familiar' was created by DOCTOR NEZ with Luke Prentice as co-writer.

Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, DOCTOR NEZ are now based in Colorado. Their music is driven by heavily distorted guitars, riff-focused songwriting, and raw vocals, while their lyrics explore darker subjects such as paranoia, substance dependence, loneliness, uncertainty, guilt, and the loss of ambition.

"Nothing Short Of Silver" will be released on October 1 in CD and digital formats.

All tracks on the EP were written, performed, recorded, and engineered by Doctor Nez. Luke Prentice co-wrote 'Find Familiar', while the artwork was illustrated by Cosmic Flame Stud.

DOCTOR NEZ are also scheduled to perform at Sunshine Studios Live in Colorado Springs on August 22, the Warped Wolf Festival in Longmont on September 19, and the EP release show at Skylark Lounge in Denver on October 1, alongside additional live dates.
