DREAMWELL Announces New Album
New Album Hymns For The Denial Of God Coming This August
US post-skramz outfit DREAMWELL is preparing to return with its third studio album, Hymns For The Denial Of God. The band has announced that the new record will be released on August 28 via Prosthetic Records, while the album’s first single has also been unveiled.
Rather than directly targeting the concept of faith, the Rhode Island-based group turns its focus toward how religion can be instrumentalized by different factions and the societal consequences that emerge as a result. Steering clear of a black-and-white critique, DREAMWELL’s approach examines how structures intended to unite people can, at times, become sources of division and conflict.
Consisting of ten tracks, the album preserves the band’s trademark intensity while delivering a sharper and more aggressive statement. Harsh vocals, disjointed riff structures, and chaotic rhythms stand among the key elements shaping the album’s overall atmosphere. This time around, DREAMWELL appears to be aiming for a broader perspective, both lyrically and in terms of its musical identity.
Leading the album’s promotional campaign, the first featured track, “Plath Vs. Kafka Vs. Romance,” clearly showcases the more aggressive direction the band has embraced in recent years. Carrying traces of the mosh-driven metalcore approach of the early 2000s, the song presents a more direct and energetic character compared to DREAMWELL’s previous material.
While developing the new songs through in-person rehearsal sessions, the band returned to Silver Bullet Studios in Connecticut to handle the recording process. Production duties were once again overseen by Chris Teti, who has previously worked with the group.

Since emerging in 2020, DREAMWELL has managed to attract attention throughout the underground scene with Modern Grotesque and In My Saddest Dreams, I Am Beside You. Their forthcoming album, Hymns For The Denial Of God, is shaping up to be the band’s most ambitious—and potentially most provocative—work to date.
