French pagan folk duo EIHWAR will continue touring Europe in support of their 2026 album “Hugrheim”. Accompanied by Swedish band HINDARFJÄLL, the duo will embark on the 15-date “Witches & Vikings” tour in February 2027, covering eight countries.

Released via Season of Mist in March 2026, “Hugrheim” expands EIHWAR’s fictional mythology across ten tracks. Named after the hidden tenth world of Yggdrasil, the album develops a narrative moving through different regions of an invented realm, with the songs built around trance languages created by the band that cannot be translated literally.

At the centre of the album are the band’s members Mark and Asrunn. The duo are portrayed as two spirits incarnated in human bodies, attempting to recover fragments of memories from their former lives. EIHWAR has also expanded the album’s mythology beyond the music itself, creating an illustrated map and a pseudo-historical text belonging to this universe.

EIHWAR’s live performances are another important part of this fictional world. After their first European headline tour in spring 2026, the duo took the stage across the United States in August and September. Having also performed at festivals including Hellfest, Wacken and Midgardsblot, EIHWAR combine dancing, pounding drums, audience interaction and pagan rituals in their live shows.

For the 2027 tour, EIHWAR will be joined by Swedish band HINDARFJÄLL. Signed to Grimfrost Records, the band have released three albums to date. Their music draws on Scandinavian rituals, ancestral knowledge and mythology, and has featured guest musicians including Peter Franzén from the Vikings series and Johan Hegg of AMON AMARTH.
