Madrid-based stoner doom trio ELECTRIC VALLEY have released a music video for ‘Strange Land’, the second track from their upcoming studio album “Echo”. The album is set for release on November 6 via Small Stone Recordings.

‘Strange Land’ offers a glimpse into the world of “Echo”, which revolves around space adventures and galactic odysseys. Across the album, ELECTRIC VALLEY build on a stoner rock foundation with psychedelic and progressive passages, while incorporating grunge influences and a desert atmosphere shaped by classic science fiction, B-movies, and old comics. This approach forms part of a broader cosmic narrative that is also reflected in the album’s title.

The recording process also plays a defining role in the raw character of “Echo”. The seven-track album was recorded in a single take at Estudio Brazil in Madrid by Javier Ortiz, preserving the feel of the band’s live performance. Charlie Sánchez handled the mixing, while mastering was completed by Chris Gossman at Michigan-based Baseline Audio Labs. The approach is intended to give the album a more direct and unprocessed sound.

Formed in 2014, ELECTRIC VALLEY consists of Mario García (guitar), Charlie Sánchez (drums), and Miky Simón (bass, vocals). The trio have released the “51973” EP, as well as “Multiverse”, “Two Realities At War”, “Tapes From The Galactic Tavern”, and “Live At Stone Giant”. Throughout their career, the band have shared stages with acts including YAWNING MAN, GREEN LEAF, DEAD MEADOW, SASQUATCH, ASTEROID, STONED JESUS, and THE MACHINE.

“Echo” will be released on CD and digital formats, as well as on a limited-edition vinyl pressing manufactured in Germany in collaboration with Kozmik Artifactz. Pre-orders for the album are now available via Small Stone Bandcamp.

The album’s seven tracks are:

  1. ‘Gata’

  2. ‘Strange Land’

  3. ‘The Colony’

  4. ‘The Asteroid’

  5. ‘Oceano’

  6. ‘Ancient Monolith’
