Swedish death metal trio FILTH have released 'Sadistic Ways', the latest track from their second album, “Death Exhibition”. The song is the second track unveiled from the album and arrives ahead of its September 11 release via Me Saco Un Ojo Records and Rotted Life.

'Sadistic Ways' has been released through the Death Metal Promotion YouTube channel, following the previously unveiled 'Mental Butchery', which offered the first glimpse into the musical direction of the album. “Death Exhibition” further expands upon the old-school death metal foundations FILTH established on their debut album, “Time to Rot”, released last year.

The trio's approach on the new album draws particularly from the early work of GRAVE and IMMOLATION. Echoes of bands such as DEMILICH, AUTOPSY, INCANTATION, and ABHORRENCE can also be heard, but rather than directly imitating these influences, FILTH incorporate their own character and dark atmosphere into the music.

One of the album's notable features is the connection between its two instrumental tracks. '...Inhumed...' deepens the album's atmosphere with a dark, heavy passage driven by prominent bass, while the closing '...Exhumed...' completes the idea with a more hypnotic, lumbering crawl. Together, the two tracks show that “Death Exhibition” is not built solely around the aggression of traditional death metal.

FILTH also retain an analog recording approach on the new release. Shaped by a humid and organic production style, the album takes the old-school death metal character of their debut to a more controlled yet simultaneously harsher place.

“Death Exhibition” will be released in Europe by Me Saco Un Ojo Records on CD and vinyl, while Rotted Life will handle the US editions on CD and cassette.
