FUSION BOMB Release New Single After Three-Year Hiatus
Three Years Later, A New Chapter Begins
Luxembourg thrash metal band FUSION BOMB are back with ‘Unison’, their first new release after a three-year hiatus. Released on 16 October, the single marks a new chapter for the band, who recently welcomed bassist Serhii “Metal Priest” Bondar to their ranks. The track also serves as a sign of things to come ahead of a new album planned for 2027.
Formed in 2010, FUSION BOMB first made their mark with the 2016 EP Pravda. In 2017, the band opened for MEGADETH, later earning the support of TRIVIUM vocalist Matt Heafy as well. Their debut full-length, “Concrete Jungle”, arrived in 2019. Despite health issues affecting Scott and setbacks in 2020, the band continued their activities, releasing a self-titled EP in 2023 that turned towards the technical thrash metal traditions of the ’90s. During this period, they cited bands such as FORCED ENTRY, VOIVOD and MORDRED among their influences.
The addition of Serhii “Metal Priest” Bondar in 2026 is another significant change for the band as they enter this new phase. The Ukrainian musician, known for his work with BESTIAL INVASION, COSMIC JAGUAR, TRIA PRIMA and VIOLENT OMEN, takes on bass and backing vocals.
With around 200 shows under their belt, FUSION BOMB have previously represented Luxembourg at Wacken Metal Battle in Germany and toured Europe with Greek thrash metal band SUICIDAL ANGELS in 2024. The band are aiming to release their new album in 2027.
