Swedish black metal outfit Gast, hailing from the Västmanland region, have announced their signing to Horror Pain Gore Death Productions alongside the release of their new EP, Förbannelser. The record is set to arrive on July 31 in both CD and digital formats.

Drawing inspiration from the harsh and desolate atmosphere of Northern Europe, Gast continue to fuse the raw essence of black metal with haunting, melancholic melodies on their latest release. Lyrically, the band remains rooted in themes of evil, madness, and Scandinavian folklore.

Translating to "Curses" in English, Förbannelser consists of four tracks built around dark concepts such as death, decay, greed, nightmares, and the end of humanity. Throughout the EP, Gast presents curses not merely as personal afflictions, but as destructive forces capable of driving entire societies toward collapse. Plague, despair, and insatiable greed all contribute to the record's bleak and oppressive atmosphere.

Ahead of the release, the band have unveiled the EP's first single, "Köttet," while pre-orders are now available for the CD, digital edition, and a range of official merchandise.

Fans of Marduk, Grá, Necrophobic, Hate, Black Curse, Profanatica, Stormruler, and Cloak are likely to find plenty to appreciate on Förbannelser, which will be released on July 31.
