GÅTE Release New Single "Oskorsreia"
Sigil
Norwegian folk rock outfit GÅTE have unveiled the music video for "Oskorsreia," the second single from their upcoming studio album Sigil, due out on September 25 via Season of Mist.
The new track offers a modern reinterpretation of the Wild Hunt, one of the darkest legends in Norse mythology. Blending the traditional sound of the Hardanger fiddle with electric guitars and electronic arrangements, GÅTE remain firmly rooted in their folk heritage while crafting a contemporary sonic landscape. Filmed overnight in the forests surrounding Trondheim, Norway, the accompanying video visually captures the haunting atmosphere of the ancient legend.
According to the band, "Oskorsreia" has been part of their live set for quite some time and has become one of the strongest crowd favorites throughout their European tours. GÅTE describe the song as a reflection on today's world, using the metaphor of an unstoppable ghostly procession to explore themes of consumption and insatiable desire.

Consisting of ten tracks, Sigil marks not only the band's first album under the Season of Mist banner but also their most internationally focused release to date. Drawing on themes rooted in Nordic folklore—including enchantment, prophecy, death, transformation, and rebirth—the album also features Heilung vocalist Maria Franz as a guest on the previously released single "Sannsiger."
Following the album's release, GÅTE will embark on a Norwegian headline tour this autumn. As part of the run, the band will also perform at IF Performance Hall in Istanbul on November 21, 2026, where fans can expect to hear selections from the new album alongside some of the band's most beloved songs.
