GUNDRIVER Strengthen Their Lineup with Ronnie Romero
One of the newer names emerging from the modern metal scene, GUNDRIVER have made a striking move ahead of their upcoming album Give War a Chance. The band has officially announced the addition of former Rainbow vocalist Ronnie Romero to their ranks.
Scheduled for release this fall, the album aims to fuse the spirit of classic heavy metal with a modern sense of aggression. Led by the project’s founding guitarist Tom Potter, the lineup also features Tempting Fate drummer Alex Rivas and former Michael Schenker Group bassist Rev Jones.
Statements from the band emphasize that Romero’s vocal performance further amplifies the aggressive character of the new material. The songs are said to retain a direct, hard-hitting and traditional heavy metal approach, elevated by commanding vocal work.
The album’s first single, “One Man Army,” will be released on May 21. The band plans to continue the album rollout throughout the summer with a steady stream of additional singles.
The GUNDRIVER camp positions the project as more than just another new metal band; rather, as an uncompromising, high-energy and message-driven force. Blending massive riffs, punishing rhythms and classic heavy metal influences with a modern production mindset, the band is aiming to deliver one of 2026’s standout releases.
