Australian thrash metal outfit HARLOTT is ending its six-year silence with its new studio album, Exsequiis. The band has unveiled the album's lead single, "Trial By Liar," along with its official music video, ahead of the record's September 11 release via Metal Blade Records.

Over the course of nearly two decades, the Melbourne-based band has established itself as one of the standout names in modern thrash metal, consistently pushing its aggressive sound further with each release, from Origin and Proliferation to Extinction and Detritus Of The Final Age. With Exsequiis, HARLOTT delivers what stands as its heaviest and most mature work to date.

On the new album, the band pairs its technical guitar work with a sharper production approach, reinforcing its speed-driven thrash metal identity through a darker and more intense atmosphere. Lyrically, Exsequiis turns away from fantasy themes in favor of exploring the growing polarization, misinformation, and social conflict shaping today's world.

Chosen as the album's lead single, "Trial By Liar" is one of the tracks that most clearly reflects that direction. The song focuses on an era in which truth is steadily losing its value, misinformation spreads unchecked, and accountability is increasingly absent, delivering a harsh critique of the social damage caused by the ongoing war over information.

Consisting of 11 tracks, Exsequiis will be available on CD, digital platforms, and as a limited-edition vinyl release. Following the album's release, HARLOTT will hit the road across Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Belgium, performing the new material live for the first time. The tour will also mark the band's long-awaited return to European audiences after an extended absence.
