HOLE IN THE SVN Festival has unveiled its first major lineup announcement for its 2027 edition, set to take place from 24 to 26 June in Rauschenberg, Germany. Billed as the “Underground Metal of Death Open Air Festival”, the event has announced 16 bands, including NAGLFAR, WHOREDOM RIFE, MARE and IMPRECATION, alongside 12 other acts from across the international extreme metal scene.

The poster published on the festival’s official website features NAGLFAR, WHOREDOM RIFE, MARE, IMPRECATION, MORTUUS, UMBRA CONSCIENTIA, MORAST, LUCIFERICON, MALHKÈBRE, FYRNASK, ATOMWINTER, THE OMINOUS CIRCLE, SRPNTS, VEL'HAR, NECRO RITUAL and ENSANGUINATE. The organisers have confirmed that the lineup is not yet complete, with further bands to be announced.

One of the highlights of the announcement is a special performance by Norwegian black metal band WHOREDOM RIFE, celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut album, “Dommedagskvad”, originally released in 2017. According to the festival’s announcement, this will be the only anniversary performance of “Dommedagskvad” in Central Germany in 2027. Swedish black metal band NAGLFAR has also been announced as one of the festival’s headliners.

The announced acts reflect a lineup spanning a broad geographical range while remaining rooted in black metal and death metal. US death metal veterans IMPRECATION and Portugal’s THE OMINOUS CIRCLE join NAGLFAR and WHOREDOM RIFE on the bill, alongside MORAST, FYRNASK, VEL'HAR and ATOMWINTER, among others. The lineup is set to expand further as additional bands are announced.

The festival will take place at Grillplatz in Rauschenberg. According to the information provided on the event’s official website, the festival grounds offer camping and parking facilities, food and drink stalls, band merchandise and a metal market. Ticket prices and the sales schedule for the 2027 edition have yet to be announced.
