Italian experimental post-metal band HOLLOW BONE have released ‘Innocence’, the latest single from their second studio album, “Onar”. Following the band’s announcement of their signing with Octopus Rising, the track offers another glimpse into the album’s dream-centered world, due for release on October 9, 2026.

The album’s title comes from the Greek word ὄναρ (ónar), meaning “dream” or “vision”. For HOLLOW BONE, however, dreaming is more than a symbolic concept. Each of the album’s seven tracks originated from a dream experienced by one of the band members. This approach makes the songs on “Onar” parts of a shared conceptual thread rather than standalone works.

With ‘Innocence’ fitting into this framework, HOLLOW BONE continue to develop their blend of post-metal, electronics and downtempo influences. Built around complex layers and controlled atmospheres, the album is conceived not as seven separate tracks placed one after another, but as a continuous whole in which the songs flow into each other. Vocals, too, are used less as a conventional narrative device than as part of the overall sonic texture.

The approach of “Onar”, shaped around dreams, transformation and spirituality, extends beyond the music itself. Contributions from Kurokawa Toru and Andrea Baldelli, alongside graphic designer Francesca Papasodaro, bring the album’s visual dimension into the same unified artistic approach.

Alongside ‘Innocence’, the album features ‘Amigdala’, ‘Meltdown’, ‘Oceti’, ‘Presence Of Eagles’, ‘Shasta’ and ‘Wounded Knee’. “Onar” will be released via Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records on October 9, 2026, on CD and digital formats.
