HULDER’s New Single: “View From Nemeton” Out Now

American black metal project HULDER has unveiled its new single “View From Nemeton”, along with an accompanying video, ahead of the upcoming album Verbolgen. The track marks the first signal of the band’s new album cycle, while also standing out as the earliest work to fully reflect the project’s visual and sonic universe.
Taken from the album set for release on August 7, 2026 via Season of Mist (outside North America) and 20 Buck Spin (North America), this first offering immediately draws the listener into a dark and ritualistic atmosphere.
“View From Nemeton” unfolds within the dense forested landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, brought to life through imagery shaped with analog recording techniques. The visual narrative, assembled by project leader Liana Rakijian and HULDER, centers on the concept of a “view from the otherworld”, transforming the video into an almost cinematic ritual.
Musically, the track leans on layered walls of guitars and a dense atmospheric texture rooted in classic black metal tradition, occasionally shifting into a ceremonial flow. Repetitive vocal structures and hypnotic riff patterns intensify the sense of dark ritual, while touches of hurdy-gurdy and keyboards expand the composition into a wider, almost mystical dimension.
Emerging from the American Pacific Northwest scene, HULDER has previously drawn attention for its commitment to old-school black metal aesthetics as well as its raw production approach. With Verbolgen, the project further broadens its instrumental palette. The album also features hurdy-gurdy contributions by KELD, along with alternating drum performances from VAPULA and VROLOK.
“View From Nemeton” is now available across all digital platforms. The album Verbolgen is set for official release on August 7, 2026.
