Norwegian progressive rock and psychedelic folk outfit JORDSJØ has made its fifth studio album, "Pestkrønikene", available to stream in full ahead of its official release. Set for release on July 24 via Dying Victims Productions, the album can now be heard in its entirety through an exclusive pre-release stream ahead of its international launch.

Marking the band's 10th anniversary, "Pestkrønikene" also stands as JORDSJØ's ninth overall release. Initially conceived as a collection of previously unreleased studio recordings made between 2020 and 2025, the project gradually evolved into a fully realized work, with its songs coming together around a unified narrative.

Lyrically, the album explores themes of war, societal collapse, shifting powers, and mystical movements, while musically continuing JORDSJØ's signature fusion of progressive and psychedelic folk with hard rock and heavy metal roots. Distinguished by its analog, organic production approach, the record expands upon the immersive atmosphere the band has cultivated throughout its career.

JORDSJØ operates as a studio duo featuring multi-instrumentalist Håkon Oftung and drummer Kristian Frøland, while performing live as a five-piece for several years now. Frøland also handled the production and mixing of "Pestkrønikene".

The album also features guest appearances by Jon Henriksen of BLACK MAGIC, Kristian Valbo of OBLITERATION and AURA NOIR, and Andreas Prestmo and Lars Fredrik Frøislie of WOBBLER.

Consisting of eight tracks and running for approximately 36 minutes, "Pestkrønikene" takes listeners on an immersive atmospheric journey. The complete tracklist is as follows:
