KING BUFFALO have released ‘Vagabond’, the second single from their upcoming album “Doomsayer”, due out on December 4, 2026. The music video for the track was filmed at the band’s newly built studio in Rochester, New York. Drummer Scott Donaldson explained that the choice of location was directly connected to the recording process.

Speaking about the new studio, Donaldson said the band wanted to create a space suitable for both professional recording sessions and video shoots. Although the venue they have been working on for some time is not yet finished, the ‘Vagabond’ video also offers a first glimpse into the band’s new creative environment.

The album itself also grew out of improvisational sessions at the studio. “Doomsayer”, produced and mixed by guitarist and vocalist Sean Roa, took shape during extended jam sessions in early 2026. Roa explained that the band initially had no specific goal in mind, instead experimenting with ideas and exploring the directions that resonated with them most. The personal and musical changes the band members have experienced since their last album also informed the lyrics.

Four years have passed since KING BUFFALO released their previous album, “Regenerator”. Drawing on their experience from years of international touring, the trio continued to explore new musical territory in their self-built studio while adopting a more direct, riff-driven approach. ‘Vagabond’, the second single from “Doomsayer”, offers a glimpse of this new material.

“Doomsayer” will be released on December 4 through the band’s own label in North America and Stickman Records in Europe. The seven-track album also features the previously released single ‘The Slick and the Dead’.

Before the album arrives, KING BUFFALO will embark on a North American tour starting October 29 in Boulder. Their European tour, with SPIRIT MOTHER, will begin in Hamburg on March 2, 2027, and continue across various European cities throughout the month.
