Polish thrash metal band KOMUTATOR have announced their return after a lengthy period of silence with their second studio album, "We Don't Owe You Anything". The band are reintroducing their aggressive and uncompromising thrash metal approach with the first single from the upcoming release, 'Let It Bomb'.

Founded in 2006 by guitarist Michał "Kinder" Kowalski, KOMUTATOR made their mark on the Polish underground metal scene with their debut album "Metal Sadism". After a 13-year period of inactivity, the band have reunited and aim to preserve the harsh edge of their earlier work while embracing a broader musical perspective on their new album.

"We Don't Owe You Anything" is the result of a lengthy recording process carried out between 2024 and 2026. The album was recorded at Heinrich House Studio and Turnia Studio, while mixing and mastering were handled by Filip Hałucha at Heinrich House Studio. The resulting production combines the band's classic thrash aggression with a modern and powerful sonic character.

On their new album, KOMUTATOR go beyond high-speed riffs and harsh vocal arrangements, incorporating dark atmospheres, melancholic passages and more introspective moments. Through the album's lyrics, the band explores humanity's self-inflicted loss of values, the gradual erosion of freedom and the transformation of individuals into mere tools within the system.

Rather than portraying a post-apocalyptic scenario, "We Don't Owe You Anything" focuses on the social changes shaping today's world. Through their songs, KOMUTATOR deliver a harsh narrative that questions the role of individual choices and collective behaviour in humanity's decline.

The album also features several guest musicians. Wojciech Kostrzewa of Asgaard, Szczepan Inglot of Wolfpack Heading Nowhere and Jacek Hiro of Sceptic are among the artists contributing to the new release.

"We Don't Owe You Anything" will be released on September 18, 2026 through Polish label Via Nocturna in digital format and on CD. The album's first single, 'Let It Bomb', represents the band's aggressive and darker direction in this new chapter.
