KRALLICE Announces New Album and European Tour
KRALLICE Conquers Europe
KRALLICE is preparing to release its new studio album, "Scour Order", on September 18 via Profound Lore Records, while also announcing the first European tour of its career. The band will perform across various European cities between October 8 and November 7.
The newly released track 'Kill The Guardian' stands out as one of the highlights of "Scour Order". KRALLICE co-founder Colin Marston notes that the song was initiated by Mick Barr and is one of two tracks on the album to feature vocal verses from all three members of the band. Marston says the group internally refers to the song as “porridger” and describes it as “soupy and nutritious.”
"Scour Order" also represents KRALLICE's return to its old instrumentation following the significant changes the band has undergone in recent years. Marston and Barr are back on guitars, while Nicholas McMaster handles bass and vocals. After the synth-heavy, single-guitar setup that significantly reshaped the band's sound during its previous phase, KRALLICE returns to a dual-guitar configuration on the new album. Marston's vocals, however, remain part of the lineup this time around.
This return follows a broader period of transformation in the band's musical history. Formed in 2007 in Queens, New York City, as a two-guitar black metal project by Marston and Barr, KRALLICE went on to release nine albums and three EPs. Following the period encompassing "Years Past Matter" and the "Hyperion" EP, the band moved toward more open arrangements and longer, hypnotic compositions, while the period between "Ygg Huur" and "Mass Cathexis" saw KRALLICE develop a darker and less predictable musical direction.
The 2021 album "Demonic Wealth" marked one of the band's most significant turning points. With Marston handling all guitars, synths, and songwriting, and Barr serving as the sole vocalist and lyricist, the album pushed KRALLICE's sound in a different direction through its use of synths on every track and the complete absence of guitars on some songs. This approach continued across the following four albums and EP, with Barr moving to bass/vocals and McMaster switching to guitar/vocals.
With "Scour Order", the band is also returning to Profound Lore Records. The label released KRALLICE's first three albums. The band subsequently continued its work across 15 self-released titles with support from Gilead Media and P2.
The album's first single, 'Living Useless Ritual', is another key piece of this new phase. At roughly six minutes, the track is comparatively concise next to KRALLICE's typically lengthy compositions, despite "Scour Order" containing only eight songs. The track has been described as retaining the band's intense, immersive approach to music while distorting the listener's sense of time.
"Scour Order" will be released on September 18 in CD, 2xLP, and digital formats. The album's eight tracks are:

The European tour that follows the album's release is particularly significant for KRALLICE. The band has historically devoted more attention to writing and recording than touring, although it has shared stages with WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM, GORGUTS, PORTAL, LUDICRA, WITHERED, VAMPILLIA, PALE CHALICE, and BLOOD INCANTATION. ROADBURN commissioned new music from KRALLICE, which the band also performed live for the first time at the 2026 festival.
The European tour will begin in Helsinki on October 8 and conclude at Damnation Fest in Manchester on November 7. The itinerary includes shows in Berlin, Karlsruhe, Bochum, Hamburg, Leipzig, and Munich in Germany; Utrecht in the Netherlands; Antwerp in Belgium; Paris and Lille in France; and Bristol, London, and Manchester in the UK.
