Litosth Release New Single: “Eclipse” Out Now
Litosth Release New Single “Eclipse”
Brazilian dark metal duo Litosth have unveiled their new single “Eclipse” ahead of their forthcoming fourth studio album Dreaming. The track premiered via NoCleanSinging and stands out as the second preview from the record. The band further deepens the album’s bleak atmosphere ahead of its release on July 24 via Personal Records.
Formed by multi-instrumentalist Maicon Ristow and lyricist Wendel Siota, Litosth have long been shaping their identity around a harsh, philosophical brand of darkness. “Eclipse” offers a powerful example of how this vision evolves on the new album into something even more dense and suffocating.
The Architecture of Collapse: Dreaming
The new album Dreaming positions itself less as a continuation in the band’s discography and more as a radical breaking point. Consisting of eight tracks, the record is thematically focused not on ascent, but on a layered disintegration of existence itself. Concepts such as faith, meaning, direction, and belonging are systematically stripped away as the album progresses, leaving only a lingering sense of emptiness.
Having previously pushed against the illusion of individual and collective fulfillment on their 2024 release Cesariana, the band take that critique to an even deeper and darker level with Dreaming. The narrative unfolds like a form of “ritual of dissolution,” drawing the listener into an inescapable atmosphere

Intensifying Darkness in Sound
Litosth’s new material sharpens their disregard for genre boundaries even further. Fusing brutal intensity with intellectual tension, the duo have crafted a more cohesive and claustrophobic sonic framework this time around. Rather than functioning as separate compositions, the tracks feel like movements within a single process of collapse.
The album’s tracklist—“Defy,” “Ruin,” “Eclipse,” “Abyss,” “Monolith,” “Iconoclast,” “Nadir,” and “Gólgota”—forms a thematic arc pointing toward an inevitable descent of humanity.
With the release of “Eclipse,” anticipation for Dreaming continues to build. The album is already shaping up to be one of the most uncompromising and suffocating releases of the year in the metal scene.
