Polish blackened death metal band MIND AFFLICTION are returning after a decade-long hiatus with their third studio album, "No Future, No Light". Set for release via Via Nocturna on August 21, 2026, the album is preceded by a music video for its second single, 'Niebyt', which is out now.

Formed in Kraków in 2009, MIND AFFLICTION combine the technical framework of death metal with the cold, dark atmosphere of black metal, while also incorporating progressive structures and multilayered arrangements. 'Niebyt', the latest track unveiled from the forthcoming album, reflects this approach. Sung in Polish, the song revolves around self-destruction, endless philosophical introspection, and the gradual dissolution of one's identity.

'Niebyt' serves as the album's second single, following the previously released 'Awakening'. The accompanying video was filmed at Rabsztyn Castle, while its direction, cinematography, and editing were handled by Maciej Dunin-Borkowski of Tentacles Studio.

"No Future, No Light" follows MIND AFFLICTION's previous studio efforts, "Pathetic Humanity" (2013) and "Into the Void" (2016). The album centres on themes of human collapse, inner decay, and existential darkness, while its musical framework moves between crushing riffs, blast beat-driven percussion, melodic passages, and slower atmospheric sections.

Production, mixing, and mastering for the album were handled by Dominik Burzym at Studio 67. Lyrics for 'The Architect' were written by Kamil Kamler, while the album photography comes from Monika Podolska and the cover artwork and layout were created by Diana Sawicka.
