The Belgian-American project MISTS has announced the international release date for its debut album, “Summoning Eternity”, which consists of two epic-length tracks. Released through Amor Fati Productions, the album will arrive on November 4 in CD and vinyl formats.

MISTS features H., who has been involved with projects including OERHEKS, SILVER KNIFE, and HÄXENZIJRKELL; C.V.B., whose credits include AERDRYK, ERBEET AZHAK, and WOLVENNEST; and S.G., a member of VOX CLAMANTIS and DASHUYN. For their first release, the trio have built a record around two exceptionally long compositions, with a total running time of 39 minutes.

One of the striking aspects of “Summoning Eternity” is that, despite consisting of only two tracks, it avoids a monotonous approach. ‘Through Eternal Graves’ and ‘Carved Miseries of Ancient Times’ move from heavy, slow passages into more turbulent sections, while holding together their black metal foundation with dense atmospheric passages. The hazy and unsettling atmosphere emphasized in the band's description runs throughout the album alongside its melodic elements.

This long-form structure makes MISTS' debut a record built around two expansive compositions rather than a conventional sequence of tracks. The movement within its more intense passages stands in clear contrast to the album's initially heavy character, while its melodic thread emerges as one of the elements preserving the cohesion of the two pieces.

The album's visual identity is completed by the cover artwork created by Blaeks.
