MUTATION Set to Unleash Debut Album "Esoteric Order of Debauchery"
MUTATION strikes again.
Stockholm-based death metal band MUTATION will release their debut studio album, "Esoteric Order of Debauchery", on October 9 via Hells Headbangers. The album will be available internationally on CD, vinyl, and cassette, while the band's new track 'Necromantical Holocaust' is now available to stream.
MUTATION was founded around 2019 by drummer S.N and guitarist K.L. The pair shared an interest in the raw and primitive sound of death metal's early days. With vocalist N.S, guitarist S.Q, and bassist S.B joining the lineup in 2022, the band was finally complete and began work on their first demo.
Released in 2023, "Demo '23" showcased the band's take on early death metal. Shortly afterward, MUTATION signed with Hells Headbangers with guidance from Gene Palubicki of Perdition Temple, and work began on their debut full-length.
"Esoteric Order of Debauchery" draws from the early years of death metal, before the genre developed into a more refined and technical form. Built around a raw and primitive sound, the album puts a strong emphasis on riffs, blast beats, and aggressive vocals. The short, direct nature of the tracks further demonstrates the band's focus on the harshness and chaotic character of early death metal rather than complexity.
'Pestilent Whore' was previously released from the album. MUTATION have now followed it with the new track 'Necromantical Holocaust'.

The tracklisting for "Esoteric Order of Debauchery" is as follows:
'Dead Gods Exhumation Trance'
'Occultation of the Ephemeral Light'
'Pestilent Whore'
'Metamorphosis (Beyond the Flesh)'
'Sepulchral Possession'
'Stygian Spheres'
'Necromantical Holocaust'
'Esoteric Order of Debauchery'
"Esoteric Order of Debauchery" will be released on October 9, 2026 via Hells Headbangers on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette.
