Italian death metal outfit NECROCENE are preparing to unleash their first full-length album, "Scumocracy". The album will be released on September 18 via Personal Records in CD format.

Following the attention gained with their 2024 EP "Detrimental Paratomy", the band has chosen to approach their debut full-length by embracing a classic death metal identity far removed from today's technically focused tendencies. NECROCENE aim to remain connected to the genre's roots with a harsh and direct sound inspired particularly by the Florida death metal scene of the late '80s and early '90s.

"Scumocracy" offers a dark atmosphere not only through its musical approach but also through the themes it explores. Throughout the album, the band addresses subjects such as the social decay of the modern world, the destructive impact of capitalism, and technological alienation through the uncompromising language of death metal. This perspective is clearly reflected in both the lyrics and compositions.

Built around razor-sharp riffs, drumming that maintains its raw and uncontrolled energy, and a primitive vocal approach, the album seeks to revive the spirit of early Florida death metal. Consisting of musicians rooted in the underground punk and metal scenes, NECROCENE create an intense and aggressive atmosphere through songs driven by dynamic tempo shifts and crushing heavy sections.

The band have also shared the first strong glimpse into the overall character of "Scumocracy" with the release of the new single 'Ordinary Enemy'.
