Chicago political grindcore outfit NEQUIENT will kick off its summer tour this week in support of its recently released third full-length album, Avarice. Spanning the American Midwest and East Coast, the run will see the band bring its latest material to audiences across a packed itinerary.

The tour begins in Cleveland on July 9 before making stops in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Richmond, Winston-Salem, Asheville, Pittsburgh, Dayton, and Lafayette. The run will conclude with a hometown show in Chicago on July 22, where the band will share the stage with labelmates Miracle Blood.

Released through Nefarious Industries, Avarice stands as a record that pushes NEQUIENT's long-evolving blend of grindcore, metallic hardcore, and mathcore even further. Channeling today's social and political unrest through crushing riffs, relentless tempo shifts, and fiercely confrontational lyrics, the album is widely regarded as the band's most ambitious work to date.

The album was produced by Sanford Parker, with mastering handled by Collin Jordan. Artwork by Arifullah Ali, along with atmospheric contributions from Kevin Kalay and Circa Tapes, further reinforces the record's dark and unsettling character.

Since its release, Avarice has drawn strong praise across the extreme metal press, particularly for its technical execution, chaotic songwriting, and uncompromising political edge. Numerous publications have hailed it as one of the strongest releases of NEQUIENT's career, highlighting the album as a significant step forward that could further cement the band's growing presence within the American underground extreme metal scene.
