NEUROSIS Returns to the Stage as New Album Continues to Make Waves
New Album Gains Attention
One of the most influential names in experimental sludge/metal, NEUROSIS is expanding its return to the stage after a long period of silence. While the band’s new album “An Undying Love For A Burning World”, released after a decade-long absence, has generated major attention, the group has now announced additional live dates in support of the record.
NEUROSIS is preparing to meet fans with a series of special performances throughout 2026. The band’s highly anticipated return began with the surprise release of the new album in March. “An Undying Love For A Burning World” quickly established itself as a significant entry in the band’s discography, earning recognition from both listeners and music media as one of the year’s standout releases.

Alongside the album announcement, NEUROSIS revealed that they would return to the stage for the first time in seven years, with their comeback performance set to take place at the Fire In The Mountains festival. This special event, held on the traditional lands of the Blackfeet Nation in Montana, will happen at the invitation of the Firekeeper Alliance, an organization dedicated to reducing youth suicide rates in Indigenous communities.
Among the band’s newly announced dates, the Hellbender event in Asheville, North Carolina, on September 5 stands out. NEUROSIS will share the stage that night with renowned acts including Acid Bath, Melvins, and Kylesa.
Following that appearance, the band will return to its musical birthplace with two special homecoming shows at the historic The Fillmore in San Francisco. Taking place on October 16 and 17, these performances will mark NEUROSIS’ return to the Bay Area, where the band was originally formed.
The band’s new album “An Undying Love For A Burning World” is regarded as a contemporary reflection of the dark atmosphere, crushing rhythms, and experimental approach NEUROSIS has cultivated throughout its career. Featuring Aaron Turner (SUMAC, ISIS), Steve Von Till, Jason Roeder, Dave Edwardson, and Noah Landis, the album carries the band’s signature sonic identity into a new era.
For NEUROSIS, this chapter represents more than just a return to the past. While the band continues to view change and transformation as essential elements of its creative process, the new album brings together massive guitar layers, atmospheric passages, and intense emotional expression. Aaron Turner’s contributions on vocals and guitar also add a new dynamic force to the band’s current sound.

Recorded by Scott Evans at Studio Litho in Seattle, the album continues the unique approach NEUROSIS has developed over decades. “An Undying Love For A Burning World” was released through Neurot Recordings in LP, CD, cassette, and digital formats.
NEUROSIS’ announced live schedule:
July 25, 2026 – Fire In The Mountains, Red Eagle Campground, Blackfeet Nation, Montana
September 5, 2026 – Hellbender, Asheville, North Carolina (with Acid Bath, Melvins, and Kylesa)

Further NEUROSIS live announcements are expected in the coming weeks. With “An Undying Love For A Burning World”, NEUROSIS is not simply making a comeback; the band is transforming decades of musical evolution into the beginning of a new chapter.
