American technical death metal outfit NIGHTS OF MALICE have unleashed their highly anticipated new album, Chaos Exordium. Alongside the album’s release, the band has also premiered a brand-new video for “Riches To The Conjurer,” featuring guest vocals from Entheos frontwoman Chaney Crabb.
Hailing from New Jersey, the band’s latest effort brings together aggressive technical riffing, dense groove-driven passages, and dynamic songwriting. “Riches To The Conjurer” stands out as one of the album’s defining tracks. According to the band, the songwriting process focused heavily on experimenting with unconventional rhythmic structures and tempo shifts, resulting in a composition that flows in an unusually unpredictable manner. The song’s crushing, groove-oriented midsection gains even greater impact through Chaney Crabb’s vocal contribution.
On the lyrical front, the band once again draws inspiration from horror cinema, building the song’s narrative around the mythology of Paimon as depicted in the acclaimed horror film Hereditary. As a result, the ferocity of technical death metal is reinforced by a cinematic and occult atmosphere.
In addition to Chaney Crabb, Chaos Exordium also features a guest appearance from Verminoth vocalist Bobby Yagodich. The album artwork was created by artist Andriy Tkalenko. Released across both physical and digital formats, Chaos Exordium is already being regarded as one of the band’s most intense and uncompromising records to date.
Following the album’s release, NIGHTS OF MALICE will hit the road across the United States as part of the “Chaos & Misery Tour” alongside My Own Will. Running throughout June, the trek will serve as the band’s first extensive concert run in support of the new material.
Having steadily raised their profile within the technical death metal scene in recent years, NIGHTS OF MALICE continue to preserve their trademark brutality while pushing their songwriting into bolder territory, opening a new chapter in the band’s evolution with Chaos Exordium.
