NIGHTS OF MALICE Bring Chaos to the Screen with “Reject The Host” Video
Reject The Host
New Jersey-based death metal outfit NIGHTS OF MALICE return with their latest music video for “Reject The Host,” taken from their newest album Chaos Exordium. The band has unveiled the new visual offering from the album cycle, which stands out with its intense technical riffing, crushing groove sections, and aggressive vocal delivery, through metal platform Slam Worldwide.
Released last month through a collaboration between Bleeding Art Collective and Blood Blast Distribution, Chaos Exordium emerges as one of the heaviest and most intense releases in NIGHTS OF MALICE’s career so far. Serving as the album opener, “Reject The Host” is among the tracks that embody the band’s direct and uncompromising musical attack.
Vocalist Brendan McGrath expressed his satisfaction with the response surrounding the new record, stating that the band approached this release with great confidence. According to McGrath, Chaos Exordium brings together the group’s past experiences with a more aggressive and focused sonic approach. “Reject The Host” represents the album’s ability to hit full speed from the very first seconds.
According to the band, the goal behind the track was to confront listeners with immediate intensity rather than leading them through a lengthy build-up. This approach also reflects NIGHTS OF MALICE’s vision of combining their technical death metal roots with elements of modern extreme metal.
Chaos Exordium was created with the Atrium Audio team, whom the band had previously worked with. The production process, handled by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, highlights the album’s powerful guitar tones and dynamic structure. The band states that their goal during the recording process was to create the heaviest NIGHTS OF MALICE album to date.
The songs featured on the album maintain the band’s brutality within the technical death metal framework while being shaped by horror-inspired themes, dark atmospheres, and influences from classic extreme metal. Brendan McGrath explained that he drew inspiration from old-school death metal culture, horror movies, and video games while writing the lyrics, aiming to create an approach that matches the music’s aggressive nature.
