NOORD Releases First Track From New Album “GODFALL”
False Gods Awaken
Belgian modern death metal band NOORD has unveiled ‘Empress Of The Hollow Crown’, the first taste of their upcoming album “GODFALL”, scheduled for release in March 2027, accompanied by a lyric video.
‘Empress Of The Hollow Crown’ centers on a narrative about false gods and people pretending to be someone they are not. At the heart of the song is the struggle of eventually confronting the true face of those we have idolized and, through that process, finding our own identity.
‘Empress Of The Hollow Crown’ is also part of the broader narrative running through NOORD’s new album. Each song on “GODFALL” has its own story, with these narratives connected through real-life experiences, personal influences, and the concept of mortality. According to the band, the album’s lyrical world focuses on the negativity of modern life, the impact of news and social media on people, and the struggle to rise above that atmosphere.
Musically, NOORD aims to expand its existing sound by bringing together heavy riffs, breakdowns, melodic sections, and atmospheric passages. ‘Empress Of The Hollow Crown’ stands as the first example of this approach as defined by the band.

The album was recorded at NOORD HQ, while mixing, mastering, and orchestral arrangements were handled by Dahaka Productions. The visual identity of “GODFALL” comes courtesy of Kumislizer.
“GODFALL” is scheduled for release in March 2027. Alongside ‘Empress Of The Hollow Crown’, the album will feature ‘The Beauty In Dying’, ‘Terminal Lucidity’, ‘Flesh Machine’, ‘God Eater’, ‘Vermin Communion’, ‘Nemesis Protocol’, and ‘Black Orchid’, with ‘Mendacious Heresy’ appearing as a bonus track.
