Norwegian black metal band NORDJEVEL have released ‘Unbound in Death’, the first single from their fourth full-length album, “Damnous”, accompanied by an official music video. The track serves as the first preview of the band’s debut release for Season of Mist’s Underground Activists imprint and is described as one of the album’s fastest and most intense compositions.

Driven by Doedsadmiral’s fierce, demonic vocal delivery, ‘Unbound in Death’ offers a first glimpse into the musical approach behind the new album. Comprising nine tracks, “Damnous” continues to explore recurring themes in the vocalist’s lyrics, including war, death, anti-Christianity and Norse mythology. The lyrics are delivered in both Norwegian and English.

The album’s guitars, bass and guest vocals were recorded at Studio Nyhagen with engineer Kjartan Hesthagen. Mixing and mastering were handled by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman, who also worked on the band’s previous album, “Gnavhòl”. Hesthagen and Nordström jointly oversaw the production. The artwork was created by Khaos Diktator Design, while photography was provided by Necrolust Productions. The video for ‘Unbound in Death’ was directed by Claudio Marino and produced by Artax Film.

Formed around vocalist Doedsadmiral in Askim, Norway, in 2015, NORDJEVEL have gradually moved away from the melodic, folk-influenced black metal approach of their debut towards a denser sound with stronger death metal influences. The arrival of Destructhor, formerly of MORBID ANGEL, MYRKSKOG and ZYKLON, was one of the key developments in this evolution. Following the release of “Gnavhòl”, the band toured Europe with TAAKE and has also performed at festivals including Inferno, Wacken, Hellfest, Bloodstock, Maryland Deathfest and Brutal Assault.

“Damnous” is scheduled for release on December 11, 2026. Pre-order and pre-save options are now available.

NORDJEVEL are set to return to Europe in spring 2027 for the Incantation Tour 2027, joined by Svarttjern, Malphas and Unviâr. The 12-date run begins in Warsaw on March 24 and concludes in Colmar on April 4, covering Poland, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Switzerland and France.
