Los Angeles progressive power metal outfit NOVAREIGN has released another new track in the lead-up to its long-awaited album Shifting The Axis Of The World. Taken from the record, which arrives on July 17, "Thunder & Majesty" serves as the band's latest preview ahead of the album's release.

Vocalist Icarus Marquez described the song as one of the band's favorite tracks to perform live, adding that its message also makes it one of the album's defining moments. According to Marquez, "Thunder & Majesty" stands as a key piece of the record's overarching narrative, encouraging listeners to leave the burdens of the past behind and look toward the future with hope.

"Thunder & Majesty" is the third single to be released from the album, following the previously unveiled "Ironsides" and "Sun & Moon." Running for nearly an hour, Shifting The Axis Of The World promises a blend of intricate guitar work, frequent tempo shifts, melodic songwriting, and an epic progressive power metal atmosphere. The album was mixed and mastered by Alex Nasla, whose credits also include work with Immortal Guardian, Witherfall, and Helion Prime.

NOVAREIGN first gained significant momentum with its 2018 album Legends, earning widespread praise from the power metal community and a number of music publications. In support of the record, the band shared stages with the likes of Michael Schenker, Angra, Rhapsody Of Fire, GloryHammer, and White Wizzard, while also making appearances at several metal festivals.

After undergoing a number of lineup changes in recent years, the band entered a new chapter with the addition of former Judicator drummer Ulises Hernandez. During the same period, guitarist Balmore Lemus, who has also been active in several other projects, completed the lengthy recording process for NOVAREIGN's sophomore album. Following a long wait, Shifting The Axis Of The World is set to arrive on July 17 on CD and across digital platforms.
