Siberian ritual dark folk duo NYTT LAND have announced the upcoming release of their live album "Ritual of Stone Sun (Live 2026)" through Season of Mist. Recorded in Moscow on March 22, 2026, during the spring equinox, the nine-track release brings together material spanning the band's early Norse mythology-inspired period and its current musical direction rooted in Siberian shamanic traditions.

The announcement is accompanied by a live video for one of the album's highlights, 'Ragnarök'. A staple of NYTT LAND's live repertoire since the "Oðal" era in 2018, the song carries the imprint of the band's early period, shaped by Northern mythology.

Filmed by Sergei Kaputanuk, the footage captures part of the Moscow performance, while the recording itself also reflects NYTT LAND's gradual shift in direction over the years. Anatoly Pakhalenko's use of throat singing and talharpa preserves the band's roots in Norse mythology, while Natalia Pakhalenko's drumming and vocal approach reinforce its evolving musical focus on the indigenous ritual traditions of Siberia.

This transition has become increasingly pronounced in the band's recent work. "Songs of the Shaman", released through Prophecy Productions in 2025, focused on traditional shamanic songs and incantations of the Manchu-Tungusic peoples of Siberia, while "Aba Khan", released through the same label in February 2026, drew on the duo's travels across Siberia and their experiences with the region's indigenous cultures.

"Ritual of Stone Sun (Live 2026)" documents this creative direction in a live setting. Its repertoire includes early-period material such as 'Ragnarök' alongside newer works like the 2026 track 'Equinox'. The live album therefore does more than bring together songs from different stages of NYTT LAND's career; within a single performance, it also captures the band's musical evolution from its Norse-inspired roots toward its own Siberian heritage.

Natalia “Baba Yaga” Pakhalenko and Anatoly “Shaman” Pakhalenko are joined on the recording by session drummer Aleksandr Rosliakov. Production and sound engineering were handled by Sergei “Lazar” and Anatoly Pakhalenko, while the mixing was carried out by Anatoly and Natalia Pakhalenko.
