Our Ceasing Voice Break Their Silence: The First Step of a New Era Has Arrived
Our Ceasing Voice
Austrian post-rock/post-metal outfit Our Ceasing Voice have ended their long silence with their new single, “Diamond Eyes.” With their first new material since 2017, the band has also offered the first glimpse into their forthcoming studio album.
Founded in Innsbruck in 2006, the group has forged a distinctive musical identity throughout its career, combining atmospheric soundscapes with powerful vocals and dense instrumental layers. Having performed across various regions, particularly throughout Europe, the band has built a loyal following over the years while also reaching notable streaming figures on digital platforms.
“Diamond Eyes” stands out as the first sign of a new chapter for the band, one that embraces a heavier and more direct approach while preserving the emotional depth that has always defined their music. The track centers on the fragility of life and those unexpected events capable of altering one’s perspective in an instant. According to founding member Sebastian Obermeir, the song aims to capture the feeling that emerges when we suddenly realize both how fragile and how valuable life truly is.
Shaped by soaring melodies, intense dynamic shifts, and the distinctive vocal performance of Dominik Dörfler, “Diamond Eyes” demonstrates that Our Ceasing Voice continue to move forward without losing sight of their identity. Blending elements of post-rock, post-metal, and alternative rock, the track serves as a powerful introduction to the band’s new creative era.
Continuing with a lineup consisting of Sebastian Obermeir (guitar), Dominik Dörfler (vocals), Markus Rappold (drums), and Jakob Schuierer (bass), Our Ceasing Voice are also preparing to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of their formation. “Diamond Eyes” marks the first single to be unveiled from the band’s fourth full-length album, which is scheduled for release this autumn via Argonauta Records.
Further details regarding the upcoming album are expected to be revealed in the near future.
