Austrian post rock and post metal outfit OUR CEASING VOICE have released the official video for their new single "The Man You Wanted Me To Be". The band have also revealed the details of their fourth studio album, "The Origin of Everything", which will end their nearly decade-long album silence. The record will be released on October 2nd, 2026 via Argonauta Records on CD, deluxe colored vinyl and digital formats.

The new offering from the Innsbruck-based quartet marks a significant milestone in the band's career. Created over a songwriting period spanning several years, "The Origin of Everything" revolves around themes such as the search for identity, confronting the past, the feeling of belonging and personal transformation. The album presents an intimate narrative focused on the complex relationship between past experiences and expectations for the future.

Born from nearly two decades of musical evolution, the album was created with a fully independent approach. From the songwriting process to recording, mixing and visual design, every stage of the creation was handled under the band's own direction.

On their new record, OUR CEASING VOICE combine cinematic post rock atmospheres with intense post metal passages and alternative rock influences. Expansive guitar layers, powerful rhythmic structures and arrangements built around emotional depth create a new expressive dimension while preserving the band's distinctive sonic identity.

Guitarist and bandleader Sebastian Obermeir explains that the foundation of the album lies less in looking back at the past and more in exploring one's own inner world. According to Obermeir, "The Origin of Everything" captures all the experiences, transformations and possibilities for the future that have shaped the band throughout their journey.

The album's new single "The Man You Wanted Me To Be" stands at the heart of this personal narrative. The track brings together the two sides of OUR CEASING VOICE by combining emotionally charged melodic passages with heavier post metal textures.

Obermeir describes the song as a reflection on the impact people have on our lives and how those around us can sometimes encourage us to recognize our own potential. With "The Man You Wanted Me To Be", the band further expands the scope of their new chapter following their previously released comeback single "Diamond Eyes".
