Portuguese atmospheric sludge/post-metal trio PALEGAZER have revealed full details of their debut album, “White Mourning,” due out via Octopus Rising. The five-track album will be released on October 30, 2026, in CD and digital formats.

Following the recent release of ‘Imminence’, the band’s new work centers on human fragility, loss, vulnerability, and the process of letting go. The title “White Mourning” reflects this duality, representing both mourning and liberation. In PALEGAZER’s narrative, loss is also approached as part of a process leading toward rebirth and self-discovery.

Musically, the album brings together atmospheric post-metal, sludge, and doom. PALEGAZER build a sound that moves between fragile melodic passages, heavy riffs, and intense vocal dynamics, while citing YOB, RUSSIAN CIRCLES, REZN, DEAFHEAVEN, CONAN, BÖLZER, MASTODON, AHAB, and BELL WITCH among their influences.
