PERPETUAL PARADOX Opens a New EP Era with “May Misery Befall You” Video
Riffs Take Centerstage
London-based technical metal band PERPETUAL PARADOX have released a music video for the title track of their new five-song EP, “May Misery Befall You.” Created by drummer Harry Cook, the video combines footage of the band performing onstage with everyday and behind-the-scenes scenes.
The new EP finds PERPETUAL PARADOX moving toward a more direct, riff-driven approach following the broader songwriting scope of their 2025 album “Deathwish.” While retaining blast beats, shred and melodic elements within their technical death metal framework, the band have aimed to ensure that technicality does not take precedence over the compositions. Riffs, solos and breakdowns were conceived as defined sections of the songs rather than ideas pieced together during the studio process.
“May Misery Befall You” is out now via Bleeding Art Collective. The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered by Marvin Menz at Tide Studios, while the cover and single artwork were created by Redamaut.
PERPETUAL PARADOX will also take their new EP era to the stage as part of the “Beholden to Hate UK Tour,” which will see them joined by The Cartographer across the United Kingdom. The band's announced dates include September 18 at Anvil Rockbar Bournemouth in Bournemouth, September 19 at Suburbia Southampton in Southampton, and September 27 at Grand Central - Alt Bar & Live Music Venue in Manchester.
Alongside the EP's title track, official videos for the previously released “Smell the Rot” and “Source of Hate” also accompany PERPETUAL PARADOX's current era.
