London-based technical metal band PERPETUAL PARADOX have released 'Source of Hate', the latest track from their upcoming EP "May Misery Befall You", due out August 28 via Bleeding Art Collective. The song arrives alongside an official music video.

'Source of Hate' highlights a more direct and heavier riff-driven approach on the band's new release. Rather than placing technical showmanship at the forefront, the track is built around powerful guitar riffs, with blast beats and hard-hitting transitions reinforcing a songwriting approach centered on weight and impact.

Vocalist Adrian Caucelo explains that the song revolves around the idea of hatred growing inside a person like a disease or parasite. Its lyrics explore how constant pressure and provocation can eventually reproduce the very hatred and violence they fuel, allowing a destructive cycle to continue.

Comprising five tracks, "May Misery Befall You" marks a more focused songwriting direction for PERPETUAL PARADOX following the broader scope of their 2025 debut full-length, "Deathwish". The band aims to ensure that elements such as riffs, solos and breakdowns function as natural sections of the compositions rather than ideas pieced together during the studio process.

Alongside 'Source of Hate', the new EP will also feature the previously released 'Smell the Rot'. Recording, mixing and mastering were handled by Marvin Menz at Tide Studios, while the artwork for the EP and singles was created by Redamaut.

Formed in London in 2021, PERPETUAL PARADOX have developed their technical metal sound through a series of EPs and their "Deathwish" album. On the new EP, the band continues to explore themes of grief, trauma and resilience through a heavier and more intense musical framework.
