Chilean melodic death metal band PROJECTOR have announced their second studio album, "Before the Last Light", due out August 28 via NB Extreme Recordings. The album's first single, 'Living Resources', is already available on digital platforms.

Based in Santiago, the band was formed in 2008 by guitarist Rodrigo Bocaz. Rather than rushing to release new material after their debut, PROJECTOR used the intervening years to refine their songwriting and further develop their musical identity. Throughout their career, the band have shared the stage with In Flames, Septicflesh, Obscura, and A Canorous Quintet, reaching audiences beyond South America in the process.

"Before the Last Light" continues along the melodic death metal path PROJECTOR established on their earlier releases. The album combines melodic structures with aggressive riffing, while a modern production approach works alongside the musical identity the band have developed over the years.

An official video for the album's first single, 'Living Resources', has also been released. The track offers an initial glimpse into the overall musical direction of "Before the Last Light".
