Spanish avant-garde black/doom metal entity PYLAR invites listeners on an intense and unsettling sonic journey beyond the familiar boundaries of metal with their new album Delyrio. Blending cosmic horror, occult themes, and an experimental approach to composition, the album has reached audiences through an exclusive stream ahead of its official release.

Regarded as one of Spain’s most unconventional extreme metal acts, PYLAR delivers one of the band’s most ambitious and conceptual works to date with Delyrio. Throughout the album, the band seeks to break apart the traditional limits of metal music, creating a chaotic, hypnotic, and constantly shifting atmosphere. Delyrio is not merely a musical work; it emerges as a dark experience that questions concepts of time, consciousness, and reality.

Composed and crafted by the band itself, the album went through a unique creative process filled with mystical references. The recording, mixing, and mastering stages were completed at “La Mina,” a studio described as part of the band’s own mythological narrative. The album’s visual identity features artwork created by Gonzalo Santana, alongside esoteric writings developed by Francisco Tójar Pérez and Bar-Gal.

With Delyrio, PYLAR pushes its musical vision into even more radical territory. The band constructs an album shaped by various intellectual currents, experimental philosophical approaches, and speculative fiction concepts. The result is a sound that merges the crushing weight of doom metal, the dark textures of black metal, psychedelic passages, and industrial layers within a single dense and immersive atmosphere.

Across the album’s four extended movements, the layers of sound constantly transform, drawing listeners into an unstable and surreal flow. Ritualistic intensity, a sense of cosmic dread, and experimental arrangements form the foundation of the record, while PYLAR continues to preserve its unique musical identity by dissolving the boundaries between genres.

Delyrio is also regarded as the opening chapter of the band’s upcoming major album cycle. With this release, PYLAR approaches metal not only as a genre but as a space for intellectual and artistic exploration. Built deliberately around uncertainty and chaos, the album guides listeners toward a deeper experience rather than offering simple answers.

PYLAR’s new album Delyrio will be released through Cavsas, the extreme imprint of Cyclic Law, in limited CD editions, special vinyl formats, and digital platforms. With this work, the band once again demonstrates its experimental vision and its willingness to challenge the boundaries of extreme metal.
