RED STONE CHAPEL Return with New Single
German sludge and stoner metal outfit RED STONE CHAPEL have announced the renewal of their long-standing partnership with Argonauta Records. Alongside the news, the band have also unveiled their brand-new single, “Evil Seed”, across digital streaming platforms.
Formed in 2009 in Marburg, Germany, RED STONE CHAPEL have spent their career crafting a distinctive sound that merges elements of stoner rock, southern groove, sludge and doom metal. Following lineup changes in recent years, the band entered a new creative phase and, particularly since 2023, have embraced a darker and heavier musical direction.
The newly released “Evil Seed” stands out as one of the first clear examples of the band's current approach. Driven by massive guitar tones, crushing riff work and a bleak atmosphere, the track also showcases the group's renewed identity through an emotionally charged vocal performance. While the song carries the muddy, overwhelming character of sludge metal at its core, traces of a broader heavy metal sensibility can also be heard throughout.

Drawing inspiration from influential names such as Black Sabbath, Crowbar, Cathedral, Pentagram, Down and Danzig, RED STONE CHAPEL continue to balance aggression and melancholy with remarkable precision on their latest material. “Evil Seed” can be viewed as a contemporary reflection of the band's evolution over the years and their pursuit of an even more powerful form of expression.
Continuing their journey under the banner of Argonauta Records, RED STONE CHAPEL are expected to reveal further details regarding upcoming releases in the near future.
