RESIN TOMB Sharpen Their Sound Further on “Fetid Existence”
RESIN TOMB push their sound further.
Australian band RESIN TOMB take the death metal and grindcore foundations of their sound into a more cohesive direction on their second full-length album, “Fetid Existence.” Combining dissonant death metal with the murky textures of black metal, the album continues the band’s pursuit of bringing different musical approaches together without sacrificing their intensity.
One of the defining aspects of RESIN TOMB’s new release is the interplay between its shifting dynamics. Balancing intense, fast-paced sections with atmospheric passages, the band refuse to build their compositions solely around speed and aggression, allowing room for the songs to develop and reach impactful conclusions. Revisiting the blend of death metal, grindcore, black metal, sludge metal and hardcore established on their previous album, RESIN TOMB take a more controlled approach this time around, aiming to expand their musical expression.

The artwork for “Fetid Existence” was created by Mitchell Nolte, who is also associated with CARNOPHAGE. The album features Matt Budge on vocals, Perry Vedelago on drums, Brendan Auld and Matt Gordon on guitars, and Mitch Long on bass.
“Fetid Existence” was released on January 15, 2026, and comprises eight tracks. Its musical direction should appeal to fans of dissonant death metal and grindcore, as well as listeners of bands such as VERMIN WOMB, WAKE, REPLICANT, TERRA BUILDER, NORSE and MICHEL ANOIA.
