REVEL IN FLESH Continues Its Return to Its Roots with “Flesh For The Kult Of Death”

REVEL IN FLESH have released the music video for 'Bodybag Inferno', the final single ahead of their new album “Flesh For The Kult Of Death”. The album is set for release on September 18, 2026 via War Anthem Records.
'Bodybag Inferno' stands as an important indication of the direction taken on the band's new album. With “Flesh For The Kult Of Death”, REVEL IN FLESH are once again putting the focus on the dark, riff-driven Death Metal approach that defined their early years, following their more recent releases.
The band's early works “Manifested Darkness” and “Death Kult Legions” can be felt throughout the album's musical direction, with the classic Swedish Death Metal character reshaped through chainsaw guitars, dark melodies and an ominous atmosphere. Rather than treating this approach as mere nostalgia for the past, the band combines the raw energy of its early years with the experience and songwriting craft it has developed over the years.
“Flesh For The Kult Of Death” also marks one of the first major steps into a new era for REVEL IN FLESH with their revamped lineup. Ralf Hauber remains on vocals, while Jonny Pettersson handles guitar and bass, Simon Abele takes on second guitar, and Erik Barthold plays drums.
The album's thematic world continues to revolve around death, cults and decay, subjects the band has long embraced. This dark framework comes together with an approach that places REVEL IN FLESH's devotion to traditional Death Metal firmly at the heart of their music.

Following 'Bodybag Inferno', the previously released tracks 'Flesh for the Kult of Death' and 'Priest of Flesh' also highlight the return of “Flesh For The Kult Of Death” to its classic Swedish Death Metal roots.
