SPIRIT IN THE ROOM to Hit the Road Across North America with Down and Helmet
SPIRIT IN THE ROOM Tours
Los Angeles-based alternative metal project SPIRIT IN THE ROOM will share the stage with Down and Helmet on a North American tour beginning August 15 in Atlanta. Dubbed the “Strap It Down” tour, the run will conclude on September 2 in Chicago.
Led by Louisiana-born musician Dennis R. Sanders, SPIRIT IN THE ROOM operates in a dark musical territory that brings together gothic vocal textures, alternative rock, industrial metal, and experimental elements. One of the project’s more recent releases, the "Passengers" EP, arrived in 2024.
The six-track EP features the previously unreleased 'Creepy Phone Calls', 'Show Me You', and 'Covenant', alongside 'I Have A Heart', 'Affectionate Projectile', and 'You Caught Hell', which had previously been released through YouTube, Bandcamp, and SoundCloud but had never been collected in an official release. SPIRIT IN THE ROOM has also released a video for 'Creepy Phone Calls' and a lyric video for 'Show Me You'.
Sanders launched SPIRIT IN THE ROOM in 2010. The project’s discography includes the 2014 EP "The Holy Phobia, Pt. 1", the 2015 release "Demon", the 2019 EP "Spirit In The Room, Vol. 1", and the "Flamingo" EP, released through Housecore Records in 2022. Sanders was also previously a member of Black Light Burns.
In 2023, SPIRIT IN THE ROOM performed as support for Pantera at four shows in the western United States.
