One of Finland’s notable gatherings in the extreme metal world, Steelfest Open Air, continues preparations for its 2027 edition. The festival organizers have announced that the initial groundwork for next year’s event has been completed and that the process of securing the performing bands is moving forward.

The Steelfest 2027 team remains hard at work ahead of the festival, which is scheduled to take place from May 13-15, 2027. The first 23 bands set to appear at the festival have already been confirmed, while the total lineup is expected to feature between 35 and 40 artists. The first names of the lineup are planned to be revealed in July, according to the current schedule.

The special hotel package, designed for attendees looking to make their festival experience more comprehensive, is available once again. The limited accommodation option includes only 83 rooms, and it has been announced that more than half of the available capacity has already been sold. The package also includes shuttle transportation between the hotel and the festival grounds throughout the event.

Steelfest’s invitation-only Gathering event will also return in 2027. The first artist for the gathering, which will take place during the first weekend of September, was previously announced, with further names expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.

The festival team has also made official merchandise from previous editions available again for metal fans. Hoodies and long-sleeve shirts from the Steelfest 2026 collection have been added back to the online store for those who missed out during the festival or want to expand their collection.

In addition, Steelfest’s exclusive merchandise collection has received new updates. New Steel Limited designs featuring names such as Veles, Conqueror, Satanic Warmaster, Dissection, Burzum, and Akhlys have been added, while several long-requested classic items have returned to stock.

The patch collection has also been refreshed. Patches featuring bands such as Horna, Sargeist, Goatmoon, Diaboli, White Death, and Revenge are available again, alongside new additions from various representatives of the black metal and extreme metal scenes.
