STREET TOMBS Raise the Voice of Decay With New Album
New Album Existence Is Corruption
Santa Fe-based death metal outfit STREET TOMBS are preparing to return with their second studio album, “Existence Is Corruption.” The band will release the new record on August 21st via Carbonized Records. The album’s first single, “Systematic Suffering,” has already been released, with pre-orders now available.
Formed around the legendary underground venue The Cave in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2017, STREET TOMBS emerged as one of the notable forces within the region’s DIY punk and metal scene. The band quickly gained attention with a distinctive sound that merges the aggression of early death metal with the raw energy of crust punk.
After releasing three demos during their early years, the group reached a wider audience with their debut full-length “Reclusive Decay” in 2023. The album received strong reactions from the underground metal community thanks to its dark atmosphere, crushing riff work, and relentless pace. Supporting the release, STREET TOMBS hit the road for several US shows, including the Reborn Dead Tour alongside Left To Die.
In 2024, STREET TOMBS released the compilation album “RIP The Abyss,” bringing together recordings from the band’s earlier period. The release also arrived ahead of their North American tour with Necrot, helping the band bring their powerful live presence to a wider audience.
The new album “Existence Is Corruption” centers around the band’s harsh perspective on social decay, corruption, and the darker aspects of the modern world. On this record, STREET TOMBS combine their death metal roots with the aggression of crust punk and influences from early black metal, forging a sound that is even more ferocious and uncompromising.
During the recording process, the band worked with Grammy Award-winning producer and engineer Greg Wilkinson at Engine 70 Studios in Santa Fe. Wilkinson handled the recording, mixing, and mastering, while bassist Galen Baudhuin contributed additional recording work. The album artwork was created by Shane Donaldson, with the band’s logo designed by Ben Brodsky.
The album’s first released track, “Systematic Suffering,” stands as a powerful reflection of the band’s anger and critical approach. Vocalist/guitarist Damian Jacoby explains that the song focuses on themes such as corruption, oppression, and discrimination within society.

“Existence Is Corruption” will be released on CD, vinyl, cassette, and digital formats. The album’s track listing is as follows:
Pestilent Storm
Deceptor
Septic Values
Upset The Grave
Systematic Suffering
Mental Mutilation
Braindead
Parasitic Feast
Following the release of the new album, STREET TOMBS will embark on a North American tour in 2026. The band will bring the “Existence Is Corruption” era to the stage with performances in cities including Santa Fe, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix.
Featuring Damian Jacoby (vocals/guitar), David McMaster (guitar/backing vocals), Ben Brodsky (drums), and Galen Baudhuin (bass), STREET TOMBS continue to merge the savage legacy of death metal with the rebellious spirit of punk. “Existence Is Corruption” stands as a furious and uncompromising record that further deepens the band’s dark universe, positioning itself as one of the underground metal releases to watch this year.
